Windows XPにWindows Azure SDKをインストールしてみた
Windows XPにWindows Azure SDKをインストールしようとしたら、「Vistaか7じゃないとインスコできないよ」という警告を受けてしまい、ぷぎゃーっとなったのでいろいろ調べてみた。
結論から言うと裏技的にインストールする方法があるらしい。
いいかげん７ OS搭載のPCは買わないといけないのだけど、今回は取りあえずということで以下の方法でWindwos Azure SDKのインストールをしてみた。
※これらの方法を実践する方は自己責任でお願いします。
必要なもの*1
- SQL Server Express (2005 or 2008)
- .NET Framework 3.5 with Service Pack 1 (SP1)
- Visual Studio 2008 with Service Pack 1 (SP1)
- Windows PowerShell (Optional)
- Windows Installer SDK
手順
- 適当な場所に Exported フォルダを作る
- 適当な場所に Tools フォルダを作り、その下に WindowsInstallerSDK を展開する
- 展開した中に入っている MsiDb.exe を実行する
- Select Database for Import/Export というダイアログがでるので WindowsAzureSDK-x86.msi を選択
- つづけてエクスポート先の選択になるので、先ほど作成した Exported ディレクトリを選択する
- Database table import/export 画面で下の図のように Export を選択、 LaunchCondition を選択してOKを押す。完了したらQuiｔで終了
- エクスポートした "...\Exported\LaunchCondition.idt" をノートパッドで開いて以下のように中身を編集して保存する

- MsiDb.exe を実行する
